The Hungarian Corporate Compliance Society would like to recommend the new, english-language Master of Law course at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Law, in September. Our organization’s presidency is involved in organizing the course.
Nowadays compliance is becoming increasingly important in the life of the companies, so it is more and more significant for us to have the right qualified professionals available. Since compliance is an area in which it may cause difficulties in acquiring and learning the necessary knowledge, information and best practice in Hungary, this course provides a unique opportunity for current and future professionals to acquire the knowledge they need to perform their duties.
The course consists of two semesters, and covers all the major issues of compliance. Firstly, the students have the possibility to get acquainted with the concept of compliance, its main areas, ethical issues, and the rules of liability of directors of legal entities. Within the framework of special experts knowledge the students could learn about- inter alia- compliance with internal principles and business ethics, compliance with external regulations, competition and consumer protection rules, and data protection rules. Related financial law, criminal law, labor law and environmental law topics are involved too.
Within the practical part of the course, students will be introduced to national and international best practices in the structure, elements, implementation, risk management and compliance audit of a corporate compliance program. The up-to-date international point of view is provided by the participation of many foreign instructor.
The compliance LL.M. in the Pázmány Péter Catholic University’s is unique in Budapest currently. We encourage all interested parties, our members and our professional partners to participate.
